Day 7

Well the water came back on, but then the power was out! So half my shower was in the dark!
Joanna and I headed to the Kingdom Hall in the morning to help out with the cleaning to get ready for the Zone Meeting Sunday. We started with sweeping and moping the stairs and porch.

Then a ton of people showed up and we went inside to clean the fans, window slats, floors . . . everything! We helped get the chairs back in line and when everything was done, we headed back home.

 

 I was supposed to go on a study in the afternoon, but it didn't work out, however Joanna and Emily were able to go out with Giselle and help Miguel study the Watchtower.

Our power came back on but then the water wasn't working. . . finally Julia came and fixed it and I was able to do laundry!

In the evening Sterling came over and taught us how to dance Bachata with Cassy and his brother. Finally we were approved for graduation! Since we were planning on getting up early for service, we headed straight to bed after that.

So in case you're wondering how we get by without water, here's the answer. In the shower we have a bucket of water to use or we can go to Julia's across the street. They have warm water too so it's a treat!
We have buckets in the kitchen too we can use to wash dishes. We have to add bleach to the tap water so that we can clean with it.
For drinking water we buy big jugs and use it only for drinking. The rest of the time we can use the tap!
